I have had the pleasure of knowing Alan Stanford for many years. My family and I have worked closely with Alan on custom, new home construction projects, as well as complete home renovation projects over the past several years. I am always impressed with his business ethics, his attention to detail and his ability to provide solutions to my special requests. I would certainly recommend Alan Stanford for any residential or commercial construction project, on any scale.

When my wife and I decided to build our house, we met with and interviewed five different builders. At the first meeting with Alan Stanford, I felt comfortable in his knowledge and experience. As with any building project you always run into the unexpected. In our case the plans weren’t quite right and as we went along, we had some changes we wanted to make as the house was being built. Alan and his crew took them in stride. We came in at our projected costs plus the add ons we added and ahead of the projected schedule. He also had some good ideas along the way that we didn’t think of that made our home ever better than we imagined. I would recommend, and have recommended, Stanford Builders to anyone building a new home. We were so pleased with the service we received that I even used Stanford Builders for a commercial project and was just as happy with that outcome as well.

When we began planning to build our new home we knew the kind of look and quality that we were seeking; however, we did not know who to go to for help with plans, construction, etc. We did feel that no one in our area had the concept of the type style we were trying to accomplish. We were wanting a Louisiana style with an Acadian/New Orleans look. Therefore, we visited with an architect from Lafayette, La who was a relative of friends from El Dorado. We quickly found out that this architect is a very “high profile” person in his profession and even though we would have loved to engage his services, we felt the distance in miles did not merit the cost involved. He asked us if we had a contractor yet and we told him we did not. He proudly gave us the name of Alan Stanford, from Springhill, La., who had recently contracted a very large home in Lafayette.

We visited with Alan to see if he would be interested in building a home in Arkansas which is about an hour away from his home. At that point, we knew Alan was the man we wanted. We appreciated the manner in which he presented his business ideas, etc to us and knew that his personality was one that we could work with. After our plans were completed and we were ready to go forward, we were pleased that we could engage Alan to be our contractor.

We are eager at any time to tell anyone that we have never regretted our decision. Alan is a young man who is very mature in his knowledge, integrity, and his organization skills. He totally works for you with your desires and with subcontractors on quality and price. There was never a problem, period. I cannot imagine a disagreement or problem with Alan. He is just that kind of person. He is so very polite and professional, yet friendly and fun loving. He accomplished exactly what our desires were in all areas. He gave ideas and the ones I took, I am glad I did and the ones I didn’t, I should have! His wife, Debbie, was also very sweet and so helpful with submitting all our paperwork. We are happy to say that we stayed within the line item figures with the exceptions being that we were the ones that decided to change. We are eager to say that almost 3 years later, we consider Alan Stanford to be a very close friend. We are also gratified that we have been able to recommend him to others and they have hired him as well.

In short, we love Alan Stanford! Anyone wanting to contact us, feel free to at any time!
